Odvisni govor

Recimo, Ana says that the weather is terrible today.

Vzemimo isti primer, Ana said that the weather was terrible that day.

Spremenili smo čas – is v was – in časovni izraz – today v that day.

She talks a lot.                                            David said that she talked a lot.
Maria is listening to the radio.   Joan said Maria was listening to the radio.
I’ve never seen a crocodile.   I said that I had never seen a crocodile.

Kako se spreminjajo časovni izrazi?

this/these                              that/those
today                                     that day
now                                        then
ago/last before
here                                       there
next                                        following
tomorrow                               next/following day

“Where does Marco work?” Ian asked.

Ian asked where Marco worked. Ne Ian asked where did Marco work.
